April

4/1 to 4/4: 

Kids had no school Thurs and Fri. so Candi and I took off and stayed Thurs night in Wendover. First we had lunch at the King Buffet. We stopped and took the traditional photos on the Salt flats went to our Sierra suite in the Peppermill Hotel. We had an enjoyable evening in the room and hot tub. We had breakfast at Burger King the next morning before going back home. It was General Conference weekend. We watched most of it so it was a relaxing weekend. Jaxon watched his first Priesthood session. He wasn't too enthused. We didn't go to the chapel. We watched it in my room on tv. I like that better since the hard chairs at the church gym gives me a sore bum. We went and got a Culver's ice cream after.

4/5 to 4/11: 

Sunday watched more Conference. Monday the kids didn't have school so I took that day off too. We took the kids to the Thanks Giving Point Dino Museum. Erana loves the museum. It's quite expensive. Stopped at Ikea on the way to look at kitchen cupboards that we're gonna put on the dining room wall. We went back Friday to purchase them. I had used the Ikea design program to make them before we purchased them. Tyrell and Leila had their Piano Recital on Wednesday. Fed the missionaries Friday at 5pm. Elder Kupuka'a from Hawaii and Elder Corless from Oklahoma. I spent most of Saturday building the cupboards. They look really nice. The 4 top doors are still on order.

4/12 to 4/18: 

Not much went on this week. On the weekend the top cupboard doors came in so I put those on. Candi and I also painted the walls next to the cupboards and I put the side boards back on after cutting and staining them. Looks pretty awesome. Candi loves her new cupboards and now there is heaps more storage space. Bought Easter Chocolates that were on clearance to make 'Lollie Lays' for Tyrell's, Savannah's & Ariana's Graduations in June!  Went to the Asian Market in Sandy, they have a lot of good stuff there including yummy food to eat.

4/19 to 4/25: 

Did some Home teaching and went to the youth trek meeting with Mina and Tyrell Sunday. They have a Pioneer trek in June. The musical numbers were provided by Clive Romney. He's in our stake and he wrote the "Not of the World" seminary music we had when I was in seminary. I thought that was cool cause I liked that, I still have my cassette tape. One song was quite sad. He explained how a 11 year-old boy in one of the handcart companies, had no food and carried his disabled 5 year-old brother on his back for 13 miles, 6 which was up hill, through snow. When he reached his mother at camp because they had fallen behind. he put his brother down at her feet and then collapsed and died. So sad. I kept thinking about Jaxon doing that with Erana since they are about the same ages as the kids in the story. Tyrell's choir made the State finals competition. Not sure when it is though. Saturday we went to the Anzac day celebration Nephi put on at his Pacific heritage charter school. Then we went over to Oliver Wolferstan's home in Woods Cross and had dinner at 5:30pm. He has a nice home. We had a good time chatting.

4/26 to 4/30: 

Tyrell had a follow-up doc appt for his collar bone Monday. It's healing up. His bone is raised out of his skin a bit but that's what he has to get used to. It was an uneventful week. Had a fun Tri-Ward combined Youth activity - hungry hippos etc.  And took Erana to South Towne Mall, she had fun on the carousel and train.

Eana: Mum guess what my favorite snack is?    

Me: What?   

Erana:  Vengetables. lol  

Me:  Whats your favorite?    

Erana: Carrots!    

Me: Carrots!   

Erana:  Like bugs bunny' ... and i like brocolli, carrots and celery oh and I like pickles! Are pickles vengtables?  

Me: Yup!  

Erana: Oh ;)

Erana was the last one with the tv remote upstairs in our room she had turned the tv on. I came up and couldn't find it, so I called her up to get it for me. In the room she couldn't see it either and she pointed to the bed and said, "It was here but now its disappeared, someone's irresponsible"! Her finger was on her chin when she said it. lol

4/15/15
Erana woke up and came into my bedroom and says, "Mum it's snowing....is it Christmas?"  

Me: "no", 

Erana: "I'm going to make a snowman"! :)

4/19/15
I visited the Isom's for home teaching. They are Erana's primary teachers. They love Erana and says she tells the wildest stories and says funny things. They were talking about Easter. They asked, What is it called when a boy dies and then he comes back to life? A kid says. " The resurrection". Erana says, " No, that's a zombie". lol
