Wednesday 2nd - Mina and Tane flew to Japan, they will return Sunday 13th.
Friday 4th - We had our annual 'Hiona Dine and Dance'. Not a lot of people showed up that I was thinking would. But it was enough, we had yummy Hangi that Uncle Richard did. We sat with the Moleni's, Evie and Mia, Aunty Liahona etc. We had a nice feed and fun dance. It was at Shallyn's chapel, had a bit of a detour getting there due to road construction but not bad. We were a little late, but no one was there anyways. The decorations were maori designs with a beach/ocean theme. DJ Q, was mean and we danced to some good ol'jams.
Sat 5th & Sun 6th - General Conference Weekend. Friday evening Leila and Erana took Ahria Skipps to eat at Chic Fila. Ahria slept over Friday night to go with Leila to the Saturday Morning session down town. We had yummy leftovers from the Dine and Dance. Sunday we had Hangi pork, veges and Seafood Topokki for dinner. Tyrell and Alisa came for dinner, they will be leaving for Japan on Monday 14th, with Alisa's family and returning Monday 28th.
Thursday 10-14th - Was mine and girls 'Fall Break'.
Friday 11th - Went to Mitch Rudolph's Samoan award ceremony at the Kearns Library. Didn't know I was going to have my first 'Kava' drink. Mitch was given a Title for the Samoan country. Later that evening and by invitation only we had Aunty Louise Wihongi's Celebration of Life. I was asked to give the guest Karanga in return to Uncle Jono's family. Vicky & Strantz's granddaughters gave the Welcome Karanga. They gave one that they had learn't from School
Thursday 17th & 18th - Leila went to take her 'Stool Sample' and get a 'Chest Xray' to IHC Eccles Outpatient. It's to get her Samoan Visa, for her Mission. On Friday Leila went and had her haircut and styled, it cost a lot $200. Her hair looked nice though.
Monday 21st - Leila watching Harry (The Davis's dog) for the week while Tyrell, Alisa and family are in Japan. Harry needs to be walked 3 times a day. Mina and Tane have already returned, the day before. Mum (Barbara) died on this day today, it's also my sister Lian's Birthday.
Friday 25th - I had no work, and so we Jay, me and the girls went and stayed in Logan for the night. When we got to Logan we went and ate at 'Sabores'. It had a variety of foods to satisfy our individual tastes. But Jay and Leila chose poorly and they did not like what they got. Leila ordered Pho like Erana and Jay ordered a Thai noodle dish. It wasn't suppose to be spicy because he asked the person ordering if it was and the boy said no. The noodles had a weird flavor like I was eating 'fly spray'. My Curry was yummy and not spicy so I swapped with jay, and then Leila ate some of mine and the Curry to. It was expensive too, but yummy for Erana and I.
After we ate we looked at a thrift store I had gone to before called 'Indy Clover', girls weren't interested and went with Jay to the Candy store. I bought me some Nike shoes and a white top. We went to the Utah State College Ice-cream place and got us ice-cream. I didn't like my choice, cause it had chunks of chocolates and other stuff in my ice-cream. I just need to stick to a fruit ice-cream. We stayed at Motel Super 8. It was good enough. We hung out a little and then went to our Concert. Our concert was at the 'Ellen Eccles Theatre', and we were watching 'Uptown - The Music of Motown'. It was 3 African American guys. They sang a lot of good songs, and had funny adlib in between. We had awesome seats with a great view that were cheap. We sometimes got up and danced. On our way back to our Motel, Jay wanted fries cause he wasn't satisfied with his dinner earlier. So we went to the Wendy's right next to us and they were out of fries. Girls got overpriced tiny frosties though.
Saturday 26th - Jay and I woke up for the breakfast. It was good, waffles, hot cocoa, toast, yogurt, juice. And I heated up the leftover spicy noodles, they tasted better than yesterday. We took some breakfast to the girls. I dropped off Jay and the girls at the Zoo, while they were there I went and checked out Logan's DI. Saturday is not a good day to go to the DI, tons of people. A lot of Hispanic people in Logan. Didn't get anything. We left early so we could come home and make something for Brookshire's Trunk or Treat and Chili Social. Girls left early for the Trunk a Treat, Jay and I caught the end of the Trunk or Treat at the Stake Center. We didn't see the girls, they had gone to our Chapel and was at Crosspointes Trunk or Treat lol. Erana was kind of upset, poor girl. After the Trunk or Treat we went into the chapel for our Chili Social. There were a couple of Chili's that were yummy for me. There was no contest this year, don't know why. Dustin Marcrum made this delicious 'Fococcia Bread'. He said he'll make me one and bring it tomorrow. And he was going to bring me the starter (bug) so I can make it myself.
Tuesday October 29th - Leila turned 19 today and she also scheduled her Living Endowment tonight at 7pm. Tyrell and Alisa had gotten back from Japan the day before. They brought us gifts from Japan. the We had pizza at the house before Leila and I went to the Taylorsville Temple and we sang Happy Birthday song and had chocolate pie. Everyone else will come a little later. I was Leila's escort in the Temple. We dressed in the Brides room, it was majestic! We both had our own tiny rooms to dress in. I went into Leila's to help her dress. Me, Jay, Tyrell, Alisa, Tane, Mina, Scott, Heather and Bro and Sister Ballard happened to be in our session by chance. It was very special to have everyone in the Celestial room. But I was a little sad Jaxon wasn't there. Afterwards we went back home, to have some more food and open the cute brown boxes filled with gifts and treats from Japan. I got a sake cup and bottle, it was cute!
