8/4/19

Hello Mina,
Jaxon, Erana, and I played at Kage’s house on Monday after we had free lunch. Erana and I had Tausala practice and, guess what, I got promoted to the Advanced Class!!! Which means more Tahitian and more practicing. Erana and I had piano lessons on Tuesday and we went to the pool with Dray. We played at his house for a little bit. Erana and I played at Kage’s house after going to free lunch on Wednesday. Kage and I went to basketball practice. I went with mom to drop Kage off to his ortho on Thursday. We were at Marshalls while we were waiting for Kage and mom got Jaxon, Erana, and I new bed stuff and new towels. We went to free lunch and then we played at Kage’s house. Erana and I went to Tahitian practice and I saw the kittens again. The black kitten had a bad eye and I really wanted to help them, but I couldn’t because mom always says “It’s not our problem”. We went straight to the ward pool party after practice. I ate a lot of food and played with Kage and Dray. There were a lot of beetle like bugs. We had to get out of the pool for 30 minutes because they saw lightning (like we didn’t see that coming). Erana and I slept over at Kage’s house. On Friday, we went to free lunch and then played at Kage’s for the whole day. Yesterday, Kage and I had a basketball game and I scored us a basket, which means 2 points. The team we went against was pretty tough but we still beat’em. Today, we had a picnic with Kage’s family and Talia at Grandma’s grave. I hope you have a great week, stay safe! I LOVE YOU!!!

Hi Mina,
It’s been hot here but I like it. We had the Ward party Thursday night at the Taylorsville pool. Jaxon brought his friends Jess and Cedrick. They slept over after. Tyrell doesn’t like his job so he is giving his 2 weeks notice. It’s too tiring. He says he has to run a lot so he can be done early or else it would take until 6pm each day to finish. Leila started basketball a few weeks ago. Saturday she played and made one basket. It’s a co-ed league. She’s the only girl on the team. We ate Sunday lunch at Grandma's grave with Uncle Scott’s family and Talia. We had a birthday cake for Talia. She is 16 on Wednesday. Not much else to say. Keep giving your best and you’ll see the fruits of your efforts.

Hi Mina, 

For Talia’s 16th Bday Aunty Heather and I took her to eat lunch at ‘Simply Sushi’ and got the all you can eat, it was yummy. Then we took Talia to the mall to shop for some clothes. Leila went to YW Camp till Friday. I’m staining the downstairs doors and it’s a pain, I messed up and had to strip them and start all over again. Our green emeralds aren’t doing good Dad thinks their gonna die I think we’ve spent over $500 for them, we are thinking about planting a tree in the middle of the yard! lol Had a busy weekend but ended up doing half of what I wanted to cause of my ‘lil friend lol anyways I feel bad for not going to Jordan Savas’s wedding reception & Cole Salmon’s homecoming  (Aunty Raihi’s grandsons). Girls performed at the ‘Tongan festival’ Saturday afternoon after Leila’s bball game. It was for Tausala and they did an awesome job, then we went to your Aunty Tania’s for bbq. I was bringing the girls plus Jaxon, Talia, Vintrick and Zion. Vintrick slept over the night before because the kids were in trouble from saying they were sleeping over at Zions but actually they were sleeping over at Talia’s which they did and then they tried doing it friday night but we found out!!! lol Anyways Uncle Brent painted the inside of their home gray and put new laminate in and got new couches and furniture - looks really nice. Dad’s wondering how they can afford it and says I need to find a full-time job that pays more, but I keep saying “I don’t need those worldly things”!! Hahaaa Well it’s late and it was good seeing and talking with you, you’ll have to wait to go to ‘Hobbiton’ till you get your new card. Keep up the good work we love you and are proud of you.

Hello Mina,

Erana and I had Tausala practice on Monday. I left for camp on Tuesday, but we hiked to a waterfall first, and then we drove to camp and it was at a place called Wallsburg LDS Girls Camp. When it was nighttime, Olivia Leonard and Camille Cloward stole everyone’s left shoe and hid them behind the Mia Maids tent, and then later in the day of Wednesday, they hung them in the trees. The food was delicious through the whole week. On the second day of camp (Wednesday), we went tubing on a river that was freezing cold, but really fun. The skies were overcast and it was sprinkling. Olivia and I had a shower together in our swimsuits, because there was only one shower and mostly everyone wanted a shower, so we thought that it would be quicker. I painted 2 rocks, one for me and for Kaitlyn because she made me one last year so I payed her back. We played Witness Protection Program at night. On Thursday, we woke up early because we were doing the challenge course at 9am. My favorite part of the challenge course was this huge balance thing that we all had to have it balanced long enough for us to sing row row row your boat 3 times in a row before any side of the board touches the ground. Later on at 3pm, we got to do the zipline. You had to climb up a wooden pole, reach from rope to rope, and then start the zipline from the tiny platform. I went on it a second time, and the staff at the top asked me what I was going to do, no hands? Eyes closed? Backwards? And I said, Oh, I’ll do all of those, so I jumped off backwards with my eyes closed without holding the rope I was hanging from. We did our skits in the evening and they were funny. My group was Heather, Meg, Lillian, Ember, and Camille. Our props that we received were a banana, sunscreen, and a broom. Our skit was about a family at the beach and I wasn’t so fond of the sand so I was trying to sweep it all away and Ember was on Meg’s back trying to put sunscreen on the sun and Lillian was trying to catch a fish (Heather) with the banana and Camille was the mother getting frustrated and asking us why we were doing this and that. After the skits, it turned into a talent show and Sarah Marcrum’s talent was my favorite. She acted like Jurassic Park’s velociraptors and she even did a raptor call. She said she did it when she was 13 when Jurassic Park came out. Friday, we played human foosball, gaga ball, and learned archery. We had to try and shoot our plate that was hanging on a string with hay bales behind them. I only hit mine once, but it was right in the middle. Meg had two plates and all the holes combined from both of them was 31. I went home early with the Ballard’s after lunch. Dad, Mom, Erana, and I ate at Rollz Vietnamese. Yesterday, Kage and I had a basketball game and we won. Erana and I had our show at the Tongan festival, we only did the Otea and solos. We went straight to Aunty Tania’s for a BBQ and to see Rhylinn’s gravestone. Taylor got a new dog named Duke and it’s a German Shepard/Husky mix. He’s just like Demon when Demon was a younger puppy and Demon is way come now. Talia slept over and came to church with us today. I hope you have a great week, stay safe! I LOVE YOU!!!

Hello egg,

I went to the Tongan festival with Talia, Vintrick, and Zion on Thursday. Then on Friday we went to the mall. On Saturday we went to the Tongan festival again with Vintrick, Zion, and Talia and then straight after that we went to Aunty Tanias house for a BBQ. After that we dropped off Vintrick and Zion off. That’s basically everything fun I did this week so hope you have a fun week.

Hi Mina,

Last week of summer went swimming on Monday with Kage and Dray their parents are back at work. Monday night we had a kapahaka show downtown at Liberty Park for Living Traditions Concert Series. It went well there was a lot of us because of all the Moleni grandkids. Tyrell performed with us and his friends, Tyler his wife Nika, Chad and Rachel. Wednesday we had our annual condo bbq. Yummy ribs and food and Jaxon’s friend Vintrick ate with us too cause he stayed the night. Went swimming again on Thursday with the Dray it was our last swim day at Taylorsville pool, pretty sad. Friday went to Lagoon and Chad Tyrell’s friend came as well. Went on the ‘Rattle Snake Rapids’ got wet but it was refreshing. Went on Cannibal a couple of times. Then the kids did their own thing. Watched a show in the afternoon it was a ‘Greatest Showman’ theme but they sang all ‘Freddy Mercury’ songs, pretty cool. Went on the ‘Ferris Wheel’ for the first time, it was fun! Got a lot of cool photos. We ate dinner there hamburgers and fries. Saturday Dad and I stained doors got another tree from lowes, and dirt. Then I took Leila to her bball game she scored 7pts, a shot, a lay up and a three pointer. Then took the girls to their show, which was Leila being ‘Moana’ for her YW Auction. She performed 4 dances and taught how to do the hula, it was a success. We bought a portable speaker for it, it's fun! 

Sunday we got a new Stake Presidency, Pres. McKinnon, 1st councilor Steven Thackery and 2nd Zullo? Anyways then your Uncle Scott’s family came over for bbq, we ate way too much yummy food. Steak, Chicken, Hamburgers and hotdogs, watermelon etc. And then we finished watching Star Wars - Return of the Jedi!

Hello Mina,

Mom, Kage, Dray, Erana, and I went swimming and then we played at Kage’s for a little bit. Mom, Tyrell, Erana, and I had a show downtown with the Hiona group. It was right behind the tennis place that you did your tennis and bought that hoodie and by Tracy’s Aviary, the bird place dad took us too. Our performance was 1 hour long. Erana and I had piano practice on Tuesday and we played at Kage’s afterwards. Kage and I had basketball practice on Wednesday and Dray slept over. I forgot to tell you that we had the condo BBQ. We went to the pool on Thursday and got nachos for Dray, a pretzel with nacho cheese for me, and Dibs for Erana. Erana and I had Tahitian practice. I went to check on the kittens, but I didn’t see them at all! I hope they’re in good hands. Chad came with us to Lagoon on Friday. We had a lot of fun and we ate there too. We watched a show of these people who sang songs from Freddie Mercury and they acted like they were in a circus, with twins, a strong man, a man covered in tattoos, a lion tamer/whipper, and a flexible woman. Chad is so funny. Yesterday, Kage and I had our basketball game and I made a 3-pointer, lay-up, and a normal 2-point shot, so a total of 7 points. We won. After the game, Mom, Erana, and I went to the Luau performance and did great. I only made 2 mistakes in Sway it Hula Girl. We went to Stake Conference today. Kage’s family came over for dinner. We watched Star Wars : Return Of The Jedi and had roasted marshmallows on the deck. I hope you have a great week, stay safe! I LOVE YOU!!!

Hello egg,

On Tuesday I went with Vintrick to his friends soccer game. Then Vintrick slept over and we hang out on Wednesday. Later on Wednesday I went with Vintrick to his friends house to play night games. On Friday we went to Lagoon for the whole day. Then Mum dropped me off at my friend Thaydens house to sleepover. Jess and Vintrick were also there and we played video games. We were gonna go do something outside but it started raining and there was lightning. I stayed at Thaydens house for almost the whole day on Saturday but I went with Vintrick to his house so we can go to his friends house and have a fire and movie night. I forgot what the movie was called but Robin Williams was in it. School starts tomorrow and I’m not even ready for school lol. That’s all the fun things that happened this week so I wish you good luck on your mission.

Hi Mina,

Sorry the email went out late. After work each day last week I was digging up around my planted trees and putting better soil around them. I think the bad soil contributed to the trees dying. I have 6 left, and only 2 from last year. I have done all I can and know how so I’ll leave it in the Lord’s hands now. Mum stained the rest of the doors in the house. We went to Pineview Friday to relax in the sun. It was nice. We went to eat at the local bbq place but it had gone out of business, bummer. We watched Leila play her last b-ball game on Saturday. Her team was undefeated. It was a fast paced game and she was the only girl. She made one basket. So now you have another couple challenges, training and a new white-washed area. But I feel total peace that you are up to the challenge. I’m not worried a bit even though you may be. I know you rely on the Lord for all things and that’s just what you have to continue to do. I’m so very proud of the great work you do. Keep it up.

Hello Mina,

Erana and I had Tausala on Monday and it was my first practice in the Advanced Class. All we did was learn a new dance and then practice it. Erana and I played at the Ballard’s house after piano lessons on Tuesday. I had ortho on Wednesday and the man that checks what to do next for my teeth said that for my next appointment, I will be getting my braces off! I couldn’t help but tell Kage after basketball. My coach had a teammate and I do a one on one game, and I won. Erana and I had Tahitian practice on Thursday and mom got us Arctic Circle afterwards. We went to Kapa Haka too. Dad, Mom, Erana, and I went to Pineview Lake for the whole day and had ice cream from the shake place. Yesterday, Kage and I had our last basketball game and won. I made 2 points. We had pizza after. Erana and I played at Kage’s house. Today, I learned about the purpose of life. We watched Star Wars : Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace. I hope you have a great week, stay safe! I LOVE YOU!!!

Hi Mina,
We had a pretty good 4th of July. We ate breakfast at the Masina’s for a Ward/Neighborhood breakfast. We talked to the Sister missionaries. Then we we're so bummed when Jaslyn came with a boyfriend. A tall lanky pakeha. We thought Tyrell would have totally had a chance. Oh well. Tyrell went on another app date. A pakeha girl named Samantha.  We went to the parade then went to go swimming but it started raining and they closed the pool as we got there. It stayed cloudy cooler temps. We went to the carnival at the Castle park. But they have torn down the Castle park but it’s actually called the Veteran’s Memorial park. We ate some expensive food before going to the rodeo stadium behind the library. It was cold so we went home and got warm clothes on then went back. I was wearing a sweater and a winter coat. It was the coldest and most I’ve ever had to wear in July. But the rain stopped and it warmed up as the evening went on. The rodeo was pretty fun but a little too long for my bum on those metal benches even with a soft bench pillow I took. The fireworks were after that. We saw Spiderman Far From Home on Friday. It was pretty good. Mum and I did a lot of cleaning out and rearranging in the crawl space to make more room.

Hello Mina,
We watched not even half way of the Lord of The Rings. Mom, Jaxon, Erana, and I went to Regal on Monday to see Toy Story 4. Erana and I had piano lessons on Tuesday and we had lunch at the park that’s behind the stores. Erana and I swam with the Ferguson’s at the Murray pool. Suzy played over for a little bit. Erana and I hung out at Kage’s for a while on Wednesday. Thursday, we had breakfast at the Masina’s and Suzy came with us to the parade I played at Suzy’s house for a little and we swam at the Bell’s house. After that, the family went to a carnival but didn’t do anything besides get some food there which was a rip off, but I enjoyed my foot-long corn dog. We went to the rodeo that was right by it and it was very amazing. My favorite of the rodeo was kids riding on sheep like men on bulls. There was an amazing sunset right behind us that I would look at whenever they would get the next person on the next animal. We watched their firework show after that. We went to AMC on Friday to see Spider-Man : Far From Home. Erana and I were at Kage’s again. We watched the fireworks on our roof with dad. I hope you have a great week, stay safe! I LOVE YOU!!!

Hello Mina,

I forgot to tell you that Erana and I had Tausala on Monday last week, when we went to see Toy Story 4. We watched the rest of The Lord Of The Rings : The Fellowship Of The Ring and watched some of The Lord Of The Rings : The Two Towers. Mom, Erana, and I went to the pool on Monday, and we bought ourselves 2 pizza sticks, a creamie for Erana, and Dibs for me. After that, we went to Tausala. Erana and I had piano on Tuesday. I went with mom to pick up Kage’s family at the airport. We left for Bryce Canyon on Wednesday and stopped by the Cheese Factory. They moved their shop to a nicer, bigger, building that was right behind the factory. They had bean bag toss on the outside where you eat and the samples of the cheese had their own corner. After that, we went to a few viewpoints in Bryce Canyon, then we went to the Visitors Center and Erana and I got another Junior Ranger activity book. We went to our hotel and unpacked our stuff and then we looked at the stores across the road. I saw baby birds in a nest and the parents were on a pair of antlers hanging on the wall of the outside of a store. Erana and I swam in the hotel pool and then we went ATV riding and it was really fun. I got a blue face scarf for it. We saw Pronghorn. Thursday, we had a yummy buffet breakfast and then we went on the 2 hour horse ride. I loved it because we had a little more control over the horses like if you were behind you just kick them on the sides and they trott over to catch up. I felt like I've been doing it for years, my horse’s name was Weep, like the poker saying,“Read ‘em and weep”. After the horse ride, we went to this little building and it also had a Junior Ranger activity book so Erana and I did that while we went on the hike where the heatstroke lady was. After 2 hours of helping Jane, the heatstroke lady, we went back to the little building to get our badges. Once we got back to the hotel, Erana and I went for a swim, and we went to a country song dinner show after Erana and I swam in the pool. The food was yummy and the show was good. On Friday, we had another delicious buffet breakfast and then we packed up and went on a hike down in the hoodoos. We saw the famous tree in between the hoodoos. Look up what a hoodoo is because I don’t want to explain. Then we headed home. Yesterday, Kage and I had basketball practice and it was really exhausting, I could hardly breathe. After that, I went to help set up the Auction/Talent Show at the stake center. Once I saw how amazing it looked, I did not want to go with the family to the Finlayson wedding. I told mom and dad and I grabbed my performance costume, and I got dropped off at the stake center. I helped pass out the food and concessions, it was really fun. Suzy was really nice and she bought me eight tickets. To repay her, I did a duet with her on the piano for her talent. I bought a brownie, pizza, fruit kabob, popcorn, little sprite soda, and a guess for how many M&M’s were in a jar. The talents were funny, boring, cringey, talented, and cute. Once it got to me, the music would start at the wrong part, but then it finally started at the right part. I performed Leafaitulagi if you were wondering, and everyone loved it. I helped clean up and I got dropped off at Kage’s house and I played there for a while. I hope you have a great week, stay safe! I LOVE YOU!!!

Hi Mina,

We don’t have much time to write a whole lot today as we are going to Julia’s to support her and sing some waiata with the Hiona group because of Nephi passing away last night. But we had an awesome 2 night stay at Bryce Canyon. We stayed at Ruby’s Inn where there were people from all over the world. We heard so many different languages, french, german, russian, swiss, austrians, chinese, japanese, hindi and others. But Leila did a good summary of it all. We had a good visit with many of the Finlayson’s at Yasmeen’s reception. Jaxon and I had to help with the haka for her. Do your best in the new area, be confident and bold and humble and loving. You’ll have a great impact with the Spirit as your guide and the love in your heart.

Kia Ora Mina,

Looks like Leila covered the whole week lol So I'll be brief. Spent a lot of time with extended family and friends this week because of your Uncle Nephi's passing. Brought back memories of your grandma Barbara's passing and funeral, and how sad that was but how loving and more close we became as a family. Knowing we will see our loved ones again brings comfort. We are so proud of you and the work you are doing to help others know that families can be together because of our Savior. Keep up the GOOD work!!!

Hello Mina,

Kage’s family came over for dinner and we played while the adults went to Aunty Julia’s house. Aunty Heather took Kage, Dray, Jaxon, Erana, and I to free lunch on Monday and then we picked up mom and went to the Taylorsville pool. Erana and I played at Kage’s house for a little bit after the pool. Erana and I had piano lessons on Tuesday. We played at Kage’s for the whole day. I went to the ortho right after free lunch and we played at Kage’s house. I did temple confirmations with the youth at the Jordan River Temple. We had donuts afterwards. Mom, Erana, and I went to Aunty Julia’s house for the open house, and then we went to our Tahitian class. Erana, Jaxon, and I went to Kage’s house and Connor, Jamie, Gracie, Jonah, and Maya were there and we headed out to the Wairhouse for Dray’s birthday and we had pizza and ice cream cake after our time was up. We went back to the house to change into our togs and we went swimming. Mom took Erana, Jaxon, and I back home so we could have a shower and pack our clothes. We ate food at their house and sang Happy Birthday to Dray and he opened presents. One of his presents was badminton so we played that for about an hour. We all slept over at Dray’s house except Maya, Gracie, and Erana went to our house. Yesterday, Kage and I went to the first half of Uncle Nephi’s funeral. Then, Aunty Heather took us to our basketball game and I wasn’t so nervous as I usually am, it was more fun than I thought it would be. Anyways, we won and I scored a point and we each got pringles for our treat. We went to the cemetery and then back to the chapel for the luncheon. Talia slept over. Today, we went to Tama’s (Uncle Vaughn’s son) Farewell party. We watched the rest of The Lord Of The Rings : The Two Towers. I hope you have a great week, stay safe! I LOVE YOU!!!

Hi Mina,  I went to the pool went to the warehouse for Drays B-day then went to the pool with Maya and Gracie well went to the warehouse with Maya and Gracie to then had a shower at home went to Drays house had hot dogs played and had desert and opened presents for Dray then played after and then Maya and Gracie slept over and we stayed up and played with our teddys  and we played would you rather truth or dare and never have I ever then we fell asleep.

Hello Mina,

Jaxon, Erana, and I went to AMC on Monday after free lunch to see The Lion King. Erana and I had piano lessons on Tuesday. We went to the pool on Wednesday, then we went to Kage’s house and had a BBQ and watched fireworks. Erana and I had Tahitian practice on Thursday and I forgot to tell you last week that over a wall behind the trash by the buildings were stray kittens in this man’s backyard that had a lot of bricks that they were hiding in. I watched them and tried to make them be comfortable around me. They all looked nothing alike. I’ll tell you all of the colors that they were individually. Orange, black, gray, white with gray paws and face, and a mix of colors like brown, white, orange, and black. I saw the mom and it was black with an orange pattern. We slept over at Kage’s house. Yesterday, we hung out at Kage’s again, but we didn’t sleep there. Today, we picked up Talia for church and we watched The Lord Of The Rings : The Return Of The King. Hi Mina,

We had a quieter week. I had Wednesday off for Pioneer Day. We went to the pool and I got a bit sunburned. We ate grilled burgers and hotdogs at Uncle Scott’s. They were out of town so we went over there to eat and light fireworks. Mum bought a box of fireworks from Maceys but it didn’t have any aerials so they were pretty lame. That’s what we get for being cheapo. But the Petts and Casey and fam were there and they had the good kind. Mum and I had a walk around Ikea and RC willey yesterday and bought some curtains we’ll put up in our room. We also forgot to take Leila to her basketball game. Mum didn’t put it on her calendar. The first new tree we planted this year in the corner already died. It just went crispy in a matter of days when it went hot. I mustn't have watered it enough or it gets hot in that corner. We returned it and got our money back from Lowes. If our others go bad then I’m blaming it on our soil. I’ve been watering them alot. Well keep working hard, we enjoy hearing from you each week.
