Kia Ora!
I was sick this week and didn't work alot at all. I VTO'ed (took voluntary time off) & PTO'ed (paid time off). I think I caught Jaxon's cough which he still has.  I feel alot better though so back to work - yay - not! lol
Jaxon's been hanging out with Talia more but we don't like that he's driving far adding miles on to the Kia. His excuse always is 'It's my choice' lol And I keep saying yeah well it's Dads & my choice to take the car away from you too!! lol He likes one of Gudgeon’s girls - Ngaia, she is pretty and probably way too mature for him even though they're the same ages. Which means she's at least 5yrs maturer than him! lol
 Tyrell's come back to our ward. Jaxon and Leila had their patriarchal blessing today from Patriarch Bill Meaders, we talked a little about patriarchal blessings and Leila and Jaxon had to tell him a little bit about themselves and then he blessed them. They were beautiful blessings.
We appreciate you and your example to your siblings, keep up the good work.

Hi Mina,

Last week wasn’t too eventful. The weather is hitting the low 60’s now, so a sign of spring to come. I’m tired of the cold. Mum and I caught up on some of our food storage by buying some stuff at Macey’s case lot sale. We had some empty buckets of flour, rice and sugar so filled those up. I also went to Ikea with Mum Friday and Leila came. We ate at the cafe. I bought some stuff to add to the house. I worked on putting it up Saturday and Sunday I was done. Jaxon had his first rugby game against East High. They lost and he played maybe 12 minutes. He’s not the starter. The team has a long way to go to be fit and to play as a team. I don’t know what else to write. Keep up the good work, trust in the Lord and follow the Spirit and you’ll be led to those that are ready in your area. You’re doing awesome and are a far better missionary than I ever was.

Hello Mina,

We had class activities for YW and we went to Alivia Ledward’s play. Her play was The Lion King and she was one of the wildebeests. Jayda came too for some reason and she sat next to me. Yesterday, I babysat the Frandsen’s for 3 hours. Then, Erana and I played at Kage’s house. For some reason we didn’t have a family movie today, but that’s fine. Throughout the week I played at the park either by myself or with the little kids. I hope you have a great week, stay safe! I LOVE YOU!!!

Kia Ora!

Busy scary week due to the virus and Earthquake~ Yes Earthquake 5.7!!! It happened early Wednesday morning abt 7am, Dad was already up and working at his desk, he got under his work desk in our room and I woke up and he was yelling at me to get under the desk with him. When I did I couldn't even fit, lol. Tyrell was on the wharepaku, lol Plus due to the coronavirus which started a while ago schools have been shut down, kids are home for 2 weeks. Dad and I went to have a night alone at the Castle Creek In last thursday night, it was nice. On the way home Friday I made Dad come grocery shopping at Winco with me and it was a madhouse!!! Tons of people buying toilet paper and food!! I had my normal shopping list and didn’t need anything, Dad left me and told me to call him when I was done lol Cause the line went all the way to the back of the store. And then for work everyone had to pick up 12 hours of overtime. And now Sunday I’ve been called to be the President of the Primary, Dad knew for a couple of weeks but wouldn’t tell me, lol. Not sure about why me, and I have to follow in Sister DyAnn Smiths footsteps, geez, lol. Anyways now I have to pray for who I want my counselors and secretary to be, kinda hard when I don’t know anyone but the oldies in the ward lol 

This is Dad. I thought I’d write a few things too for our journal. This coronavirus pandemic is crazy with schools closing then having no church for however long. It’s kind of nice having church at home for a while. Last week and this week we had a hymn, prayer, sacrament, a spiritual thought and testimonies. The earthquake was crazy and scary. The whole house shook and vibrated for about 20 seconds. I was thinking at the moment, first the pandemic now an earthquake? Are we accelerating the signs of the second coming already? I jumped under the desk and got mum to come under even though she didn’t fit all the way. There were 2 large aftershocks during the day Wednesday and several smaller tremors. I even felt one Saturday and today. I tried to stay calm for the kids even though I was a little freaked out and nervous on the inside. It was hard to concentrate doing work stuff that day and sleeping that night was difficult. The trumpet of the angel Moroni fell off on the Salt Lake temple. I was thinking, does that mean that Moroni the angel who flew through heaven bringing the everlasting gospel in his hands is done announcing that to the world? Will the testimony of his servants be done soon and it will be time for the testimony of earthquakes, tempests, famine and pestilence? I hope not yet. But I can use it as a sign or a warning that we need to be prepared so I’ve been thinking about what we lack in preparedness lately. Makes me think I don’t want to be around for the stuff that will happen before the second coming. I know we can trust in the Lord during any trial and I’m grateful for what he has blessed us with. On Wednesday, at 7am, I woke up to a big earthquake and I was SO scared! If I wasn't freaking out, I would've been enjoying the ride. XD After the big earthquake, there were some tiny aftershocks. I was kind of paranoid of earthquakes for the rest of the day. When I was cleaning the Edgar's house, there was a tiny earthquake. Dad played basketball with me at the park on Friday. Hello egg, 

It’s been crazy this week. First an Earthquake and corona virus and being quarantined and stuff. But when the Earthquake happened I thought it was cool, I was half asleep so I thought I was dreaming or I was getting possessed lol. My bestest friends Ngaia and Xanda had to go back to New Zealand so that was sad. I went to Ted Bundy’s Cellar with Ceedrek, Jess, and Thayden. We took pics for instagram lol. But when we were taking pics we heard like a coyote howling. But when it howled a second time it changed into a man's scream so we got creeped out. Yesterday I went to the Castle Park with Ceedrek to see the new playground. They destroyed the castle park and rebuilt a new one, it’s lame. I think I got everything covered so hope you have a fun week!

Hi Mina, I'm sorry I haven't been talking to you for awhile I’m just so distracted by the T.V. .  I had a video chat with Maya on Saturday. She said we might have a play date on April the 6th and we’re going to have a video chat on Monday at 5pm.  I don't know what else to say ummm Leila and I played at Kage and Dray’s house.  Right now we just finished watching descendants and now we’re watching pacific rim 2.

Hello Mina,

I babysat the Frandsen kids sometime in the week. Talia hung out on Wednesday. She ate dinner here and read scriptures with us. We, as in Jaxon, Talia, Erana and I, played with the jumbo cards and then the mini cards and then Erana left so only Jaxon, Talia and I played Uno. Talia slept over on Friday. Mom, Dad, and I went walking around the not castle park and played a little basketball too. Yesterday, Talia went home and then we went to Kage’s for Uncle’s birthday. We had yummy rainbow cake and then we went for a walk. I hope you have a great week, stay safe! I LOVE YOU!!!

Kia Ora Mina,
As you know it’s Super Bowl today (Chiefs beat the 49ers 31-20) we had shrimp soup, noodles and crab wontons. We also had our Stake choir practice, Tyrell didn’t come he says he already knows the songs from one practice he’s a professional.  Jaxon turned 17 on tuesday, went and ate at Golden China late had to wait for Tyrell to finish his class. It was yummy though had shrimp, steak, noodles, shrimp salsa and coffee cake. Came home and sang a birthday song to Jaxon and he opened his presents, he got some hoodies and bundaberg and money. We had tres leches for his cake. Then on friday Dad and I took him to Sagato’s for fish’n’chips and pies. Auntie Heather took the girls to Mo Bettas in South Jordan to see Talia working there. Uncle Jared moved into their new house in Day Break South Jordan a few weeks ago. We haven’t seen it yet. Been working at least 15 hrs a week and hibernating if its really cold outside, we're going to have a storm this week. But Puxatawny Phil says spring is coming early! Anyways keep up the good work praying for you always.

Watching Luther VanDross on YouTube right now, love his voice! Friday I went to buy a corsage at Smith’s for Jayda Masina, she’s going to her Sweethearts dance with him. Well they don’t make them anymore, dang it. Jay and I went to Valley Fair Mall to look for a tie to match Jayda’s bright pink dress. I found a beautiful pearl bracelet at Ross for Jayda and a tie on clearance. We walked around some more and found another tie at ‘Tie One On’, took a while to decide which one to buy. Jaxon didn’t like the tie I got from Ross, but liked the other one it was $20. Also got her a box of chocolates and flowers.
Jayda came and got Jaxon for brunch Saturday morning.  In the afternoon got a text from Tonja Masina saying Monique will be at church tomorrow morning and if Tyrell could come and meet with her about having a date. We were all in the basement and I showed Tyrell her msg, then I was talking to him about it. Jay over heard and was being funny saying what’s he gonna say in church people will hear him and go, “Oooo Tyrell is asking Monique out!” then go to Relief Society and tell them all about it! lol
After Jaxon’s nap I trimmed his hair a little. Jayda  looked beautiful when she picked him up for the dance in the afternoon. She put his corsage on his white shirt, it was funny. Jay and I were asleep when he came home, Jay found out that he got home around 1:30am.
Sunday Tyrell came to church we were having Ward Conf. Tyrell missed speaking to Monique after cause she went to class lol. After Relief Society I say’s to Monique my son is in the hallway lets go set up your date, or something like that? Lol Tyrell was talking with Sis Patterson, I says what you guys doing? Sister Patterson says Tyrell’s just answering my question. Then Sis Patterson says what you doing? I said, “I’m just setting up a date between these too!’’lol Sis Patterson then says well that’s more of a priority… we then walked off saying will let you guys discuss that on your own.  We also had our last choir practice for Stake conf. I drew some pictures of a song ‘I will walk with Jesus’ Sis Anderson asked me/us to, it took me all afternoon and we used them once! lol  The Masina’s were there as well.  Jaxon didn’t come with us cause he was in a deep nap.
Well it was good talking with you I hope your transfer is good for you and you are still happy, be positive and rely on the lord. We hope you are well, we pray for you always!

Hello egg,
On Saturday I went to a dance with Jayda. She picked me up around 10 for breakfast. We had Shake Shack, it was delicious. Then she picked me up at around 6 to take pictures then after the pictures we went to her friends house to eat dinner. Then after the dinner we went to the dance. Her school is full of white people so it was weird. And they don’t even dance they just all jump up and down in the middle of the gym. But after the dance we went back to her friends house and played this funny board game. That’s basically everything fun that happened this week so hope you have an awesome week.

Not much happened this week, I hung out with Alex and we played vr horror games on the ps4, it was funny haha, you gotta try it sometime because it feels legit. Today at church I asked Monique out on a date but she already knew, because our mums have been trying to set us up haha. Anyways I’ll let you know how that goes. I hope you enjoy the new area.

Hello Mina,
Yesterday, Kage let me come with him to the Murray Rec. Center with his friend Colton Boyd after we played a little. His other friend met us there and his name is Jd Segura. We played basketball and this group of kids and 2 adults invited me to play with them so I did. Afterwards, we walked to Chick-fil-a and ate. Kage gave me his fries, that’s all I had. Then we walked to Best Buy mucked around with the phones and did something called the love calculator on a computer. Kage did me and Jd and we got 70 something % and then he did me and Colton together and we got 94%... Aunty Heather picked Kage, Colton, and I up because Jd’s mom was picking him up and we went back to Kage’s. We had pizza and played Gang Beasts. That was probably the closest I’m going to get with actually hanging out with friends and it was pretty fun. What I meant was I have no friends that want to hang out unlike Kage’s friends who hang out with him ALL THE TIME!!! So unfair… Anyways, I hope you have a great week, stay safe! I LOVE YOU!!!

We had Stake conference and we all sang in the choir. We did 6 songs and they sounded really nice. Tyrell sat next Monique Masina in the choir. The night before he went on his date with her for the first time and he said he had a lot of fun and she told her parents she had a lot of fun. They went to Round 1 at South Towne mall but it was busy so they walked around the mall before going to All Star bowling on Redwood rd 78th south. Then they ate at the Pie Pizzeria then went downtown to the State Capitol and he taught her how to play the ukulele. Then they got hot chocolate at 7’11 and he got home around 11:50pm. Mum is excited to find out everything they do or say and always wants to see the texting and so forth. I told her to stop being a nosy parker. You know all this already but we have to write it because these letters all go into our journal. After Stake conference we ate lunch at the Gudgeons as their daughter Kapri got home from her mission in the Wellington mission. I went to CCNZ with the Dad, Duane. Saturday afternoon we also went to Uncle Jared’s to eat dinner. We hadn’t seen his new home yet. It’s nice and very open. The basement hasn’t been done yet but is also huge. Well can’t think of much else.

Hi Sister Wihongi,

I had Monday off because it was Presidents day. I slept in of course. We walked around Valley Fair Mall with Leila and looked in a few stores. They have an Allstar bowling alley with arcade games, bumper cars and Lazer tag now by the food court. I bought some new ties at Ross. Tuesday for work I drove with a co-worker to our data center in Richfield to take a server appliance and pick 3 up. That’s a 2.5 hour drive one way. That pretty much took up my whole work day. Wednesday we ate at Golden China for Mum’s bday and then opened her gifts after. She had a Key lime pie for her bday cake. I got some light bulb speakers for a gift and they are in the lamps above our bed. I also got mum some new white dishes and cups. Friday we went back to Valley Fair Mall after we went to the temple to take the girls to a movie. We had Megaplex gift cards from Christmas to pay for the tickets and treats. Mum and I walked around, did shopping at Ross again and Old Navy. I got new church pants. Saturday evening we ate dinner at the Wolferstan’s church for Imogen’s home-coming. She isn’t speaking in church for  another month or so because she’s going to NZ and Aus. We did a short Maori show. We’re so proud of you and so grateful for your example to us all. Stay humble and prayerful.

Hello Mina,

Yesterday we went to Imogen’s Homecoming party. I went with Jaxon and Talia to babysit a friend’s baby afterwards. The baby was asleep the whole time so we just watched movies and ate snacks. Erana and I went to see Sonic the Hedgehog on Friday. It was at Megaplex while mom and dad were walking around the mall. In the morning on Friday, mom, dad, and I went to the temple and I was GOING to do baptisms, but my temple recommend was expired, so I had to wait for like an hour for mom and dad to be done with endowments. Mom, dad, and I walked around the same mall from Friday on Wednesday (I think, maybe not). We ate at Golden China for mom’s birthday dinner. Jaxon and I went to mutual, or whatever you call it, and it was all about food from different cultures. There was Samoan, Australian, French, Italian, and Japanese. Samoan had panipopo, Australian had vegemite, tim tams, and meat pies, France had cheese or hummus on baguettes, Italian had pepperoni and this olive dip thingy on crunchy bread, and Japan had curry. While Jaxon was driving out of the parking lot, I had my window open and he stopped right in front of Kaitlyn’s car while she was getting out of her parking spot. She honked at us and guess what I did? ….. I did the fake middle finger at her! HAHAHA! And then we drove off. The fake middle finger is the ring finger only. It was sooo funny! January 2020! Jaxon's 17th Birthday

Hi Mina,
I’ve been doing stuff to our room to surprise Mum when she gets back. I got a new vanity for her and put up cabinets for books and this weekend I painted the trim around our bed and mirror doors and the windows. I put up new lights. It looks good. I’ve gone to Ikea, Home Depot , Lowes and got stuff off Amazon to do all of it. I had New Years at Uncle Scotts. We ate finger foods Auntie got and played some card games with Talia and the others. We played Monopoly cards, Uno and Yahtzee cards. I left shortly after the countdown about 12:30am. Uncle Jared and fam we're there for a bit then went to a Brazilian party but Talia stayed. Mum called earlier and I said to call back when we have the countdown but she forgot. She called when I was in bed about 1:30am. It’s a new decade and what will it have in store. Marriages and grandkids and things like that. Should be interesting. As long as we stay faithful to the Lord everything will work out as it is supposed to.

Kia Ora, 

Been home for a week now from NZ. When we came into SLC it was snowing like a blizzard storm. Was wishing we were back in sunny NZ. Our NZ trip was fun, we did a lot of fun stuff like going to Otara markets, Church with your Aunty Debbie Wihongi and her mokos, shopping a lot at the Warehouse and Pak n Save, Pokeno ice-cream, sleepovers at your Grandpa Pats,  doing the luge and Whakarewarewa again. By the way if you go to Whakarewarewa don’t pay tell them your great grandma is Agnes Whareaitu and they’ll let you in for free. Then went down to Hastings - Omahu and stayed with Aunty Trisha. While in Omahu we ate a lot of Rush Munros ice-cream, went to Splash Planet, painted Aunties house, went to Napier Marine parade, ate fish n chips a lot, Souvenirs, had lamb tails too, visited with my bff at Oceans Spa. Bore my testimony and delivered a package to Elder Sam Ballard.  Stopped in Taupo took a little dip in the river and toured around ‘Hobbiton’. Photo’s at your grandpa Barneys gravesite. Last day drove on the wrong side of the road lol. 

Was good to be back home to my sweetheart and that’s it lol he had a nice surprise for me he remodeled our room a little it looks awesome, you know he said he showed you. 

Just last week just worked and back to the same routine, back to reality. I have to work and still pay of some of my trip and then start saving for our trip in Sept to MCO.  Anyways awesome speaking with you today, keep up the good work love you so much, Mum and Dad xxx 

Just read your letter and I feel for you my beautiful Princess you hang in there!😭 Will say extra prayers for you and your companion. Don't overthink your work you've done cause you have nothing to show at your mtg. You're probably not the first or the last to have that happen. HF knows you did your best, you are  sacrificing so much for him. You've got just 6 months left and you'll see it go by quickly so work hard and pray hard and love the people and there will be no time to be trunky. Grandma is watching over you and many others so keep up the GOOD work and Kia kaha!!!

2nd semester started last week. My classes are alright lol. Nothing much happened because its just school nothing surprising. On Saturday I went to the SouthTowne Mall with friends. Hello Mina,

Erana and I went over to Jenna’s (our friend’s) house to play after we had piano on Tuesday. For YW on Wednesday, it was class activities so the 14-15 class made bread at Sister Moutsos’s house. We ate muffins too. Erana and I had Tausala practice on Thursday, and my legs were shaking whenever I tried to bend lower. Yesterday, Erana and I played over at Kage’s house and I was practicing my backflips on a mattress in the basement. Hello Mina,

Erana and I slept over at Kage’s house and played all Monday. We were combined with the YM on Wednesday and separated into teams and did things similar to minute-to-win it. There were 4 activities that were physical, social, intellectual, and spiritual. We rounded up all the points that each team made from each activity. The most points wins candy and a plastic trophy. My team won. We had sliced apples and grapes with caramel. The physical activity was to pop the other team’s balloons that are tied around their ankles. The other activities I can’t fit them to their proper… title? Or whatever was riddles, stacking cups, and writing down 2 scripture verses and we each can only write one word each. Mom got us Mcdonald’s after Tausala practice on Thursday. Alexis teaches with Birdie now, she has been for a while. Yesterday, Mom, Erana and I played went to Aunty Dolly’s granddaughter’s baby shower. Then Erana and I played over at Kage’s house and I was practicing my back handsprings on the tramp and decided to try on the little hill. It took me 10 minutes to work up the courage to finally do one, and then I did 6 more. We had choir practice today after church and got grapes, gold fish, and cheese. We had the day off for Martin Luther King day. Mum and I went shopping and ended up spending a lot of money at Ross. We got some stuff for Jaxon’s birthday. We had a normal week otherwise. Didn’t do a whole lot this weekend. Not much to write about. Hope all is well.

Mum will write a little more now. Sister Masina asked Jaxon after church if he would go to a school dance with Jayda, he said yes. And then Sister Masina asked Tyrell after choir practice today if she could set up a blind date with her daughter ‘Monique’, Tyrell also agreed lol Now were watching the last Star Wars movie its dumb and cheese, actually I fell asleep for most of it hahaa but I woke up to a lot of cheese!!! Keep up the good job love you so much

In Weight Training I ripped my pants lol so I dipped class to drive home and change. It was pretty funny. On Friday I went to Jess’s house and saw Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker. It was really cheesy and not good lol. Those are the only interesting things that happened this week so hope you have a good one.

Kia Ora,
Had a very snowy Thanksgiving day did very little work which is not good cause I need to save up for NZ. And christmas gifts etc…. Ended up at Uncle Scott’s cause of the snow the night before and so we had a very quiet Thanksgiving with just the traditional foods. At least I didn’t come home with allergies!!! Then on the same day Gracie and Maya got dropped off for sleepovers lol The next day was worse and I took the kids to the movies to see ‘Frozen 2’, the snow was a blizzard and I couldn’t get up the hill from getting Kage, Dray and Jonah I had to drive right around winco back upto Redwood rd and the kids were 10mins late but still made it before the movie started! Your Aunty Liz msgd us your photo with her, we were in sacrament at the time.
Dad and I are as happy and in love as can be, we love you kids and are so proud of you. Keep up the good work.

Not much happened this week for me. Work is getting busier this time of year. Delivering in the snow has been pretty miserable. School is almost over soon and I’ll have a short break so that’ll be pretty nice. This week on Friday I’m going on a double date with Quinn, I’m pretty excited for that. I’ll be going with a girl I met on my mission in my first area. I don’t know if you remember the picture but I was standing with the Bishop and three of his daughters. Her name is Emma Smith haha. Anyways we’re going downtown to see the lights. I set up Quinn with Emma’s friend who I also met on the mission.I hope you are enjoying the holidays and staying safe.

Erana and I had piano on Tuesday. Erana and I slept over at Kage’s on Wednesday. We had Thanksgiving at Kage’s house with only us and Kage’s family because there was a blizzard and no one wanted to go to Aunty Tania’s. Jonah, Maya, and Gracie were the only far away cousins that came for Thanksgiving, but they came late at night. Erana, Maya, and Gracie went home for a sleepover. Jonah and I slept over at Kage’s. On Friday, Kage, Jonah, Dray, Gracie, Erana, Maya and I went to see Frozen 2 at Regal. We got popcorn and soda. We had our sleepovers again. Yesterday, Jonah and Maya went home. Gracie went home while I was doing my chores. We watched Hobbs & Shaw for our family movie today. I hope you have a great week, stay safe! I LOVE YOU!!!

Hello egg,
I had Thanksgiving break this week so I only had 2 days of school. On Tuesday I went on a field trip for Wildlife Biology. We went to a natural history museum. Then on Thursday we had Thanksgiving at Aunty Heathers because it snowed a lot and we couldn’t drive to Aunty Tanias. But the food was delicious. Then on Friday and Saturday I didn’t really do anything. Hope you have a fun and fantastic week.

On Wednesday me and Leila went to Kage and Drays house and we slept over, the next day was thanksgiving but we didn’t go to aunty Tanias cause it was snowing really bad so we had Thanksgiving at aunty Heathers but we were already there so we played video games the whole day until mom and dad came with the food later on mom and me had to pick up Gracie cause she was sleeping over but when we got back we didn’t know that Maya was at aunty Heathers so Maya slept over to.

Kia Ora!

Worked a lot and then on Thursday went out shopping and tried to buy everything on my Christmas list. Went to Walmart, Ross, dollar tree and target. Also bought gifts online. Tried to get everybody's gifts for Wihongi and Nuku family, neighbors, ministering families and music/dance teachers.  I was very successful, and don’t want to be leaving it to the last minute and be stressed. Because we’re coming to NZ kids got to choose 3 things they want for Christmas.  But Tyrell hasn’t given me a list yet, and the girls want a kitten I said we can look for one when we get home. Dad says they can get one if it’s a ‘siberian’, but those cost around $1000, and so that won’t happen but I’m still thinking we should get a ‘russian blue’ hopefully with green eyes. 

Went to see the lights friday night it was warm but foggy, and it was just us and the girls. We ate dinner at the food court, Erana got curry, Leila philly steak sandwich and fries and dad and I shared chinese. We were saying how the two younger girls are spoilt compared to you and Tyrell at their age. The lights were magical and we got a cup of hot cocoa and cookies. Did not bump into Tyrell and his date.  Saturday went late to our Christmas ward party and there was no more bacon - sad! Note to self next year show up before 10am!lol Had photos with Santa just us and the girls :( Dad took Leila to her bball game they got thrashed. And I took her to her show downtown ‘Grand America’ in the evening for Tausala, they did awesome Birdie and Nive were in charge and then we were allowed to eat their yummy food. Ordered a new Cmas tree but it didn’t come got lost so maybe next year it will show up! Lmk what your want us to bring you besides poi’s, more airheads? Well keep up the good work.

Hello Mina,

Erana and I had piano practice on Tuesday. On Wednesday, for our YW activity, we went downtown to see the giving machine and to watch some lds films. We then looked at the lights at temple square. Erana and I had Tausala practice on Thursday. Mom got us McDonald’s burgers. Dad, Mom, Erana, and I went to temple square on Friday to see the lights and look around the mall. We had hot cocoa and cookies. Yesterday, we went to the ward Christmas breakfast party. I had my basketball game afterwards and we lost and I didn’t make any points. Tyrell brought home pizza and Mom and I went downtown to Grand America because I was performing with the Advanced Tausala group. We watched Star Wars for our family movie, I don’t care which one it was. I hope you have a great week, stay safe! I LOVE YOU!!!

Hello egg,

I stayed at Jess’ house on Friday to watch the Utes play Oregon, they lost. It was very foggy outside, just a few yards away from Jess’ house and you couldn’t see the cars parked there lol. It was pretty cool. Then on Saturday I went to City Creek with Jess and Thayden and walked around. That’s all that happened this week so hope you have a fun week.

Hi Mina,

Work has been crazy this time of year. I’ve been working pretty much all day everyday, so I haven’t really been able to do anything, except for the date that was on Friday. We went to Zupas and than we went downtown. It was super foggy and erie looking, it was kinda cool. We had a lot of fun together. I’m excited to come to New Zealand soon, it’s going to be a really nice break from working so hard lately. Anyways, love you hope all is well!

Hello Mina,

Erana and I had piano lessons on Tuesday. I had a meeting with the bishop before YW on Wednesday. YW was class activities at Sister Moutsos’s house and we decorated cookies and then gave them to Zaylie Newkirk and Makayda Rammell. The Leonard’s took the rest since Olivia Leonard is going to be the new 14-15 year old President. Erana and I had Tausala on Thursday. Mom, Erana, and I went shopping on Friday at Dollar Tree and Ross to get gifts for our assigned family person. Yesterday, we went to Laione Built Fitness in the morning because there was a ‘party’ and we ate there. Afterwards was my basketball game and I got us 5 points. I made a 2-pointer and a 3-pointer. I also stole the ball sometimes. We won. I got a participation certificate and a cookie. Mom and I went to a friend from Tausala’s house to get some poly merch. Today, I gave a talk about family in Sacrament Meeting and did great. It is Alema Masina’s birthday today and he brought cupcakes and I had an eggnog cupcake that was filled. I never knew there were filled cupcakes. After church, we had to get our new callings and stuff. I’m the 1st counselor for the YW 14-15 year old class. We watched How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World for our family movie. I hope you have a great week, stay safe! I LOVE YOU!!!

Hello Mina,

Erana and I had piano on Tuesday. For YW on Wednesday, we were combined with the YM to give out the bishop’s gifts for ward members. One ward member had us come in and talk and he gave us cuties. Erana and I had Tausala practice on Thursday. Mom and I went shopping on Thursday I think to the World Market and Trader Joes. Yesterday, we went to Jonah’s house for dinner, dessert, and white elephant. I got a belt bag that looks like a man’s belly, it’s gross. Jonah, Kage, and Dray slept over. Hi Mina,

Mum was busy with gift buying and running around this week. She also worked a lot to get money for her trip. Saturday we had the family Christmas dinner and gift exchange and white elephant. Serina announced her pregnancy.  We all watched the Christ Child before gifts. I was full of food and missed out on some of the food the late comers brought. Auntie Tania came late and brought roast pork and lupulu. We had our 1 hour church Sunday. The Leonard family did a beautiful rendition of the First Noel. Brother Leonard sings really well. Erana slept at Maya’s. Jonah stayed over but he got sick while he was with us. Jaxon and Talia stayed at Teina’s Saturday night. Be patient, supporting and loving to your new companion. You already know how training goes so I know you’ll do a great job. Trust in the Lord always in all the little details of each day.

Hi Mina,

Well the house has been quiet the last few days. I dropped them off at the airport Christmas morning at 6:15am. We we're running late because Tyrell was slow. They only had time to get the boarding passes, go through security then get on the plane. I did some cleaning up around the house in the morning then went to eat dinner at Uncle Scott’s around 2:30pm. Uncle Jared’s family are with them for a few days until they move into their new home next week. Jared and Camila made dinner, a pork roast with stuffing inside it, broccoli and mashed sweet potatoes and chocolate pudding for dessert. After dinner I played with Ariki and his presents. He got a wooden crane set in a tool box with actual tools, small ones. I followed the instructions and got him to screw in the screws. He likes playing with his cousins and Uncles and is quite a character. I worked from home the day after Christmas. Friday I went to Ikea to get a few things to add to our room as a surprise for Mum. I was done fixing it up Friday night. Saturday was a bit more cleaning and moving things in the reading nook. The basement entertainment center cabinet thing is in the reading nook. Uncle Jared gave us his. I tend to do more cleaning when the family is gone because I must be a neat freak at heart. When everyone is here I must not do it as much because I want the kids to learn to clean their own stuff. I’ve been eating a lot of leftovers for breakfast and dinner. It’s finally starting to run out. Sunday I stayed for the linger longer after church and ate the food for my dinner. Visited with a few people. Hope you have an enjoyable and successful week ahead. I just thought of something, totally up to you and the promptings you get. Those cousins you met, Henare and Frank, you could share your experience at the MTC where you felt your ancestors’ presence and felt impressed Pere was there. If he was then you know Henare Pere was too, his name sake. If those ancestors are interested in your doings and love you enough to be there for you then I know they feel the same way about them. Bear testimony about the church being true and families being forever through the atonement of the Savior and invite them to make the necessary changes to be closer to Christ. Tell them this is the message I was sent to share with them and that they are loved by their family on both sides of the veil and the Lord. Anyway, it can’t hurt to give that message as you know it’s the same message they would get from their ancestors. But only if you feel good about it.
