May Highlights

May 23rd:
First practice coaching Jaxon's rugby team, West Jordan U10s. Coaching again kinda helps me get out of my comfort zone, but thinking about it made me a little nervous but I'm over that now. There are 9 kids, Jaxon, Jackson Zander, Isaiah Caver, Nuu & Iti Tuia, Braxton Bosch, Abinadi(Binny) Bigelow (a half-maori kid) and Benjamin Barrows.

May 25th:
Had a BBQ at Fisi's house and watched UFC. A kiwi samoan fought named Mark Hunt, but he lost, too old (39).

May 26th:
In the evening we took the family to the  cemetery  where Grandpa Hono and Nanny Jean are buried. We met Mum and Scott's family. We sat a little and sang some songs with the ukulele.

May 27th:
Memorial Day off. We went to the ward scout breakfast at the duck pond park. Had a fire-pit in the evening with hot dogs and marshmallows.

Driving Us Crazy

Today is Thursday today. Erana wanted to come with me to get Jaxon from Scouts - actually every time I try to leave the house she wants to come. Well she said "I come get Jason - I need to drive" and I said "No you can't drive." She struggled a little getting in her car seat - trying to get to the drivers seat.

Every time I pick up Tyrell from school & I move over to let him drive baby cracks a fit & cries & says "Get back in your chair - you drive." All the time, it's funny.

We are on double prayer mode with Erana. She always wants to say the prayer so to not have her cry we have her say a very small one sentence prayer & when she's done she points to the person who is supposed to say it & says "Your turn".

Mina got a couple award certificate for academic excellence during her school's end of year award presentation ceremony Wed, 15th. Very proud of her.

May Catch Up

Today is Monday & I see we are behind in the journal because of Jay. It was his turn. So I left off after General Conf. So we have been back to school, rugby, tahitian & piano, etc.

Tyrell still not behaving about 10:30pm bed curfew so we got more strict with that. And still has missing homework, grr. So stressful with that. Mina on the other hand is doing great at school. We don't have to check on her - she likes getting straight A's. She also wants to do online school next year so we've been investigating it & probably she'll do K12. She's still messy & has a bad habit at picking at her pimples.

Jaxon & Leila still the same, no big change. Jaxon still cries alot & Leila argues & thinks she's correct all the time. Erana is still cute as can be & funny. We treat her a little different cause she's the baby & the last. I let her fall asleep in bed sometimes when she cries. And I call her sweetheart.

We had Camila's baby shower, a get together at Olga's to visit with Strantz, Vicki, Jojo Hemi & family from NZ. We had a surprise quincanera for Serina at her Stake chapel with friends & family. It was small one, we had spaghetti, garlic bread & salad, fruit & cake. We had a fun time dancing.

Tyrell got injured in his game on Saturday with Herriman, they won & now play in the playoffs. 

Spring Break Vacation Day 7

Woke & got ready to leave, had breaky. Filled up on gas. Stopped at the mall & went in with Tyrell so he could buy his shoes he saw the other day. Carbon grey with blue laces. Went on a wild goose chase cause Tyrell & I for a store called Carbon when actually called 'Forever 21'.

We stopped at the cheese Factory after we filled up on gas & got a couple of burgers. We got jalapeño cheese & diff kinds of flavors of ice cream - licorice, cherry cordial, coke, coconut almond!!

When we got home we saw that it had been raining a lot. We unpacked and relaxed & wondered where our week went?

April 7th
Sunday we watched General Conference and then went to Fisi Moleni's home for dinner. Liz & OJ were there as well. We had lots of yummy food & great company.

So blessed we had a safe fun vacation & glad our home & family were safe too.

Found out that Liz & OJ were in Vegas the same time we were -  we went to the mall at the same time but didn't even see each other, lol.

Spring Break Vacation Day 6

Woke and had breaky & then went to the pool all morning. Then Jay & I had to go to a meeting. So the kids stayed in our room & had lunch, watched cartoons. Our mtg was about buying a vacation package priced around $8000 & then we could vacation at any hotel in the world. Our hotel & other expenses would be covered including travel for life. Sounded really good but we didn't buy it, we were there just for our free $75 visa & hotel deal. We then went back to the pool with the kids after mtg. We sat in hammocks and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

In the evening we went to the Bass Pro store so the kids could look at the fish and stuffed animal displays as well as the big aquarium in the Silverton Hotel that is attached to the store. There was a mermaid in it and the kids had photos with her.

Jaxon wanted to buy something like a bow& arrow but we said no - cause he already has one - his distraught reply was "This is the worse day ever, first I get sunburned & now I can't buy whatever I want!" Lol. On our way back to the hotel we picke up Panda Express & Raising Canes - I made a big booboo & got the four piece boxes instead f the 6 piece - worries grrr!!! We had a nice evening though - packed our stuff for our trip home tomorrow. Vacation went by too quick cause of so much fun!

Spring Break Vacation Day 5

Slept in, had breaky then went to the Outlet mall. Just as we started off in the mall some young salesman guy sucked Tyrell over to clean his shoe!! And of course I had to go over & bail him out - but maybe shouldn't of to see what Tyrell would've done when the guy wants Tyrell to pay $25 for shoe cleaning stuff.

The mall was huge - kids bought clothes, ties, toys, etc. Finally done went back to the hotel for lunch & swimming. Kids like watching Disney channel & Sponge Bob, etc. And it's nice to have separate tv's.

Spring Break Vacation Day 4

We checked out of the Stratosphere and parked along the strip near the end of M&M (Showcase Mall parking garage, 5th lvl where bridge to mall is). We went & had breaky - Panda Exp, pizza & Jay's $6 Orange Julius!!! Went to Coca Cola World and had two trays of different colas from around the world. The yuckiest one was from Italy - kids had fun with it - baby could not be fooled by Tyrell to drink it.

We then walked over to NY NY & Jay, Tyrell, Mina & yes Jaxon was tall enough. I bought Leila & Erana candy from the gift shop. We played a couple of games when they came out & won teddys & balls. On our way out I bought Leila & Erana a rabbit & lamb Tybeanie Boo, they were $9 each & I couldn't decide if I should spend that much - But I did!!

We stopped back in Cola World & got a float then went and checked in our next hotel 'Cancun'.

While checking in Jay & I got talked into seeing their resort speil?? Anyway the room was awesome & the kids loved it. Glad we finally have our own room. Kids had to sleep on couch bed & Jaxon & leila got cushions from the couch to  sleep on. Jay & I also had our own bathroom with a two person jetted tub - Sure did come in handy! We went swimming at the pool which is huge & has slides & four hot pools & a waterfall - it was like a Mayan theme.

Jay & I went on a date & ate at 'Raising Canes', it was fried chicken & coleslaw, toast & fries. It was yummy & a lot but didn't have a signature taste - but still good. Jay & I went grocery shopping at Food 4 Less & then came back to hotel where kids ate & watched t.v. Erana looked squished between Tyrell & Mina so I put her on the floor in our room.
